Program Dates

The dates of this trip are May 14-28, 2008.

Program Location
The garden tour begins at Philadelphia International Airport with a flight on U.S. Airways non-stop to Madrid. We are in Madrid for four nights, Toledo for one, Granada for two nights, Seville for three, and Lisbon for our final three nights. 

Eligibility
The study tour is open to anyone interested in gardens. Please note: there is considerable walking required and one must be able to handle his/her luggage. Enrollment is limited to 35 people.

Accommodations
Our lodging is in first class hotels in Spain and Portugal.
All hotels are located within the city for ease of siightseeing on your own.  While we attempt to find roommates for single participants, if a roommate is not available, the participant is subject to pay the single supplement charge. 

Cost
The cost of the study tour is $3950 which includes airfare from Philadelphia to Madrid and Lisbon to Philadelphia, lodging, entrance fees, ground transportation, local guides, all breakfasts and two dinners. Single lodging supplement is $750.

Not included in the Cost
Costs of obtaining passports, visas, excess baggage charges, items of a purely personal nature such as drinks, bottled water, laundry, telephone and optional tours. Trip insurance is not included as well as tips to driver/guides and any foreign departure taxes.

Credit
